Significant verse / book:
Colossians 1:15-20
"The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross."

What do you hope people know about your heart for Jesus & ministry?
Jesus is committed to us in spite of all our messiness, and I want to faithfully follow Him into messy spaces and love others well.
Kayla was born and raised in Northern California and is a proud UC Davis alumna-turned-employee. She started attending Discovery in 2009, where she met her husband, Justin, in a small group a few years later. They share their home with their overly excited dog, Buttercup, and can usually be found arguing over which flavor of ice cream they are going to buy.
Kayla believes that there is nothing better than good conversation with good friends over good food. She loves reading and being physically active. She has strong opinions about beer, coffee, and social justice. You can usually catch her overthinking or crafting a slightly inappropriate joke.
