Kayla was born and raised in Northern California and is a proud UC Davis alumna. After working in Student Housing for 8 years, she followed a vocational call to Seminary and began working for Discovery part-time. She will complete her MDiv in 2027! She started attending Discovery in 2009, where she met her husband, Justin, in a small group a few years later. They share their home with their overly excited dog, Buttercup, where they argue about who ate the ice cream.
Kayla believes that there is nothing better than good conversation with good friends over good food. She loves reading and lifting. She has strong opinions about beer, coffee, and social justice. You can usually catch her overthinking or crafting a slightly inappropriate joke.
