Reed came to Davis in 2013 for a master’s degree but stayed for the community. Reed grew up on the Monterey Peninsula. While he was raised in a Christian family, he took ownership of his faith in college as part of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as he navigated the demands of being a student-athlete. Reed works as a water resources engineer and volunteers with Scouting.
Reed has served in a variety of roles at Discovery including set up/tear down, co-leading the Young Adults ministry, and helping plan the men’s retreat. As a Deacon, he is excited to see the impact that Discovery can have on the city of Davis. If you’re looking for Reed, you can probably find him enjoying God's creation on foot, bike, ski, or kayak.
