Hello,

So many cool moments happened at the Gathering this past Sunday- the bittersweet sending of our graduates and those moving away, and the privilege of hearing Pastor Joshua Chavez encourage us in the pursuit of unity. Check out the audio recording if you missed it!

Looking ahead, you are invited this Sunday, June 12th at 1PM to be part of our annual "State of Discovery" meeting. We'll review Discovery's finances, and share how we will continue to discover the good news of Jesus together this upcoming year. This glance at finances is just one way we can view the larger story of what God is doing here in our local community, and in our church family. Join us in-person at 508 2nd Street (head up to the second floor in the Regency Square building), or on Zoom (email us for the link).

Two more things of note- First- the Rule of Life retreat has been moved to August 27th, so make sure to update your calendar.

Second- We are excited to announce that we once again have the opportunity to serve our city by hosting the Fun Zone at this year’s 4th of July celebration in Community Park! The Fun Zone will include lawn games (think corn hole and giant versions of Jenga and Connect 4), crafts and coloring, photo booth props, face painting, Lego car racing, and a space where people in our community can share their needs and prayer request. If you are interested in volunteering to help at the Fun Zone, please check out the opportunities and sign up by clicking this link! We will need help setting up, running activities, and tearing down before the fireworks. The festivities in Community Park go from 4-8pm with fireworks starting at 9:30pm. Questions? Email info@discoverydavis.org.

Discovery family, it is a joy to be on mission together with you.

Grace and Peace,
The Discovery Team
