Hello Discovery Family!
Serve Sunday is just around the corner- this Sunday in fact! Can you believe this will mark our fifth Serve Sunday? We are really excited this year to be joining together as Neighborhood Communities throughout the different neighborhoods of Davis (and Solano county!) to serve those locations and continue building relationships with the people who live there.
Each NC has a different project happening, and you can read about them below. If you aren't part of a Neighborhood Community, please join in and come out to serve. You can email the leader for more information, or just show up to their location on Sunday morning. We can't wait to hear your stories of sharing good news!

Neighborhood Community Projects
- North: Gardening at Birch Lane Elementary School @ 9AM. We'll be helping the school get ready for their carnival fundraiser by tidying up the grounds and creating succulent pots for sale. Bring water, sunscreen and gloves if you have them. Contact: carrie@discoverydavis.org.
- East: Pick up trash and help tidy Mace Ranch Park. Meet at 10AM near Korematsu Elementary School. First we'll share a light breakfast. Contact: wongbec@gmail.com.
- West: Join us Sunday morning for a prayer walk in the West Davis neighborhood. Our project to serve with Make it Happen will happen (!) on Saturday May 6th. Contact: rthayer1@gmail.com.
- Campus: Buy groceries and stock the UC Davis freedges to help support folks on campus with food-insecurity. Meet at the interns home (811 F Street, B3) at 10AM and carpool from there. Contact: pamisue713@gmail.com.
- Solano: Details are still being hammered out, but we hope to serve a local non-profit in the Vacaville area. Contact: angiedawn99@gmail.com.
