Discovery Family,

As we all know, this little thing called Covid-19, entered the scene a few years ago and disrupted life as we knew it. One routine practice that went to the wayside was gathering together in individual homes and spaces to read Scripture, share a meal, discuss our lives and build community. While we have not entirely seen the last of that sneaky virus, it is once again safe to gather together in these places. At Discovery we are ready to jump back into this expression of community. We can't be more excited about our Neighborhood Communities that are launching this month!

Neighborhood Communities (NC's) are our primary approach to community life at Discovery. These groups of about 12-30 people meet 2-3 times a month and explore the simple Up-In-Out Rhythms of Discipleship. NC's are located in different neighborhoods throughout Davis (and one in the Solano area!). As Pastor Steve talked about on Sunday, place matters, and our hope is for these groups to be rooted in their specific place- that we can pray for, serve, and really get to know the people, pulse and needs of our particular neighborhoods. Along the way, we'll share our lives, learn to discern the next step, and live out our value of being #BetterTogether.
