Hello! My name is Justin Koenigshof, and I am one of the hosts of the South Davis Neighborhood Community. The S.D. Neighborhood Community has gathered several times over the last few months, and I had forgotten how nice it is to gather in our home and neighbor’s homes. It’s been a few years since my wife (Kayla), and I have been able to host a group in our home and we have missed it.

One of the things I love about our community is its diversity. With different life stages and backgrounds, come unique perspectives and insights that would be lacking if each person wasn’t a part of our community. For me, there’s something incredibly beautiful about the differences each one of us brings to the community we are a part of. We each are a puzzle piece that fits perfectly in a community and without us, there’s a hole in the picture. Our community is a unique expression of the Kingdom of God and I’m so thankful to be a part of what God is building in South Davis.

Our group has enjoyed ice cream with our neighbors when we hosted a Davis Neighbor’s Night Out gathering last month. We met new people and caught up with those we haven’t seen in a while, all while enjoying good food together. We have also gathered cooking smore’s around a fire, imagining laughing about what our ideal day would look like. Our group loves to laugh, think, and make space for others. It’s a great place to be known.
