Discovery Family,

On Sunday Pastor Steve invited us to consider the connections between generosity and joy (remember all those Greek words and how grace, gift, and joy share the same root word?).

As a community we have the opportunity to put that into practice over the next two weeks. December 11th, through December 25th, all donations to our Generosity fund will go directly to World Relief and their efforts to help Afghan refugees resettle in our area. These funds will help folks get into and furnish apartments, stock their new homes with supplies, and meet other basic, but important, needs as they start new lives here in central California.

Our Street Team will be adding $2000 to the mix from our Care and Compassion fund. We have a tremendous opportunity to bless a lot of people this Advent season, to share the light of Jesus with our larger community (John 1:5).
