Hello Discovery Family,

Last week, we had the privilege of joining with the City of Davis to provide a Fun Zone for kids and families at the 4th of July Celebration. It was a blast! We wanted to say a big thank you to Lauren Granillo and her team for their great planning and execution of this event. And we also want to say a big thank you to all of you who showed up to volunteer your time and serve our city with kindness. We appreciate you!

One of our volunteers shared a story about a little girl, about four years old, who was building a race car out of legos. She'd been standing nearby working on her car, and over time moved closer and closer until she eventually ended up sitting on our volunteer's lap! She was perfectly content for a very long time as she worked on her creations. Parents repeatedly expressed gratitude for providing a safe and fun place for the kids.
