Encouragement in the Waiting
"How long, O Lord?” Psalm 13
It is hard to believe, but as we head into August, we are now six months into life as a primarily digital community. And, with the news from the school district that the new year will commence via distance learning, we know that it will still be some time before we can gather, in person, on Sunday mornings.
There is a weight, a fatigue, a sadness with this ongoing reality.
As we’ve said often: the church is never cancelled even if our large group gatherings are. God’s spirit is still as active as ever, and our mission doesn’t change.
That being said these times call for flexibility and creativity and we are working on some fresh things for the fall! We invite you to join us in praying for each other, for our community, and for God’s will to be done here (in Davis) as it is in heaven.
We love you all and continue to intercede on your behalf!
Thank you for staying engaged with one another and our larger church community during this time.
Grace and Peace,
Yuan, Steve, GR, and Scott
